How you can help

DO SOMETHING….and do it NOW.

“Later” is too late.

Here are some quick wins:

1.

TELL TWO FRIENDS

Simple really. Just talk about it. Tell your friends or family who live in different parts of your country. And one step better still, tell your friends or family who live in other countries. Here’s a short paragraph you can copy and paste to send to them:

There is no shortage of information and advice available about what action individuals and households should be taking to reduce their carbon footprints. So why is it that large numbers of ordinary citizens report feeling overwhelmed by the challenge, or place it guiltily on one side in the “later” box.

Colin Hasting’s very approachable Carbon Buddy Manual shines a light on the largely invisible practical, financial and psychological obstacles that distract or hold people back from responding adequately. Then, in a series of very practical steps, he walks readers through a process which helps them evolve their own realistic crafted for their unique circumstances. The result is that what seemed at first daunting and unmanageable, gradually turns into something both manageable and most important of all motivational.

2.

TELL ONE PERSON IN THE MEDIA

You may well know or know of a journalist, a radio talk show host, a blogger or a podcast who might like to tell the story of The Carbon Buddy Project. Just click here, and then send them the link to our media page with a cheeky note telling them why you think this makes a good story.

3.

WRITE SOMETHING QUICKLY

Write very briefly about your experience of reading and using the manual. Easiest way is to post on social media. Or even better, respond to our social media posts by liking them (hopefully) or sharing them.

Writing a couple of sentences about your favourite aspects of the book on Amazon is also really helpful. Here are the relevant links:

If you’ve just done one thing, you’ve become a Propagator.

Many thanks.
